Skewered Grilled Cheese Caprese with Zucchini

Sunny garden, friends, cold drinks, good music, delicious food... Enjoy the summer with this grilled cheese dish!

Ingredients

Serves a garden party:
250ml of balsamic vinegar
350ml of extra virgin olive oil
2 cloves of garlic
340g natural Hajdú Grilled Cheese
24 cherry tomatoes
24 basil leaves
2 courgettes
Salt
Freshly ground pepper

Preparation

1. Caprese is one of Italy's greatest creations: the perfect combination of fresh basil, tomatoes and mozzarella, but we've slightly updated the original recipe to include grilled cheese instead of mozzarella.

2. Cook the balsamic vinegar over medium heat for 20 minutes, or until it is reduced by about half. Then remove from the heat, cover and set aside. Put the olive oil in a pan with the crushed garlic and cook for about 10 minutes. Set aside for now.

3. A skewer should look like this: diced grilled cheese, zucchini, and tomatoes, then repeat until you get to the end of the skewer. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and chopped basil, then they're ready to go in the pan or on the grill grate!

4. Grill them for about 4 minutes, then turn them in the balsamic vinegar you prepared earlier or baste them with it.

5. Enjoy your meal!
